Nanjing launched its Child-friendly Development Center on September 26 during an update meeting on efforts to become a child-friendly city.
The meeting aimed to raise public awareness of children’s wellbeing, in addition to showcase the achievements in the field of child-friendly city construction.
Wang Benyu, vice president of Nanjing Xiaozhuang University, said the center will leverage the university’s resources in children's education and research to produce annual reports, and guide the development of Nanjing’s child-friendly city initiative.
19 organizations, including schools, hospitals and those related to transportation, culture and tourism, has been identified in Nanjing to spearhead the initiative.
