Fu led a delegation of Chinese artists on an official visit to Czechoslovakia and Romania from May to August 1957, creating over 50 artworks during that period.

“Fu was among the pioneers in applying Chinese ink painting techniques to depict European landscapes, including castles, streets and hydroelectric power stations,” said Chu Xiaoqing, curator of the exhibition.

“He believed art should reflect its era and explore nature and life, resulting in a style that primarily features the realistic subjects,” said Pang’ou, director of the museum’s ancient art department.
