Organized by the Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development of Jiangsu Province and the Jiangsu Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, the 2023 Jiangsu Green and Low-carbon Building International Expo is set to take place on October 10-11 in Nanjing.
Aiming to showcase energy-efficient buildings and eco-friendly development, the inaugural expo will feature 82 renowned enterprises, among which 53% will specialize in the fields of new energy, new materials, digitalization and advanced manufacturing.
Xidong New Town in Wuxi City and the High-speed Rail New Town in Suzhou City will also participate in the expo. These two areas have been included in the national pilot program focusing on carbon neutrality in urban and rural construction.
Lu Hongwei, chief engineer of the provincial department, said the expo will be held concurrently with the 16th Jiangsu Green Building Development Conference and include more than 50 activities.
Experts and scholars will engage in seminars on various topics, including green construction, eco-friendly farm buildings, and urban landscaping.
