Jiangsu plans to add 100 more parks to improve people's living environments this year, according to the province’s Department of Housing and Urban-Rural Development on May 15.
These parks will make full use of pocket parks, greenways and other public spaces to enhance the landscaping and province access to recreational facilities close to neighborhoods.
Among the 100 new spaces, there will be 69 pocket parks, 9 urban greenways, and 13 waterfront venues. The provincial government has made this project one of its key endeavors to improve people’s livelihoods since 2022.
The provincial department has required local authorities to report on the project’s progress quarterly and ensure the full completion by the end of the year.
