Jiangsu has ten hospitals recognized in the 2021 China Hospital Internet Impact Ranking, released by the Health Industry Development Research Center of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences on November 28.
The ten winners are Jiangsu Provincial People's Hospital, Jiangsu Provincial Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Children's Hospital of Nanjing Medical University, Nanjing Stomatological Hospital, Nanjing Gulou Hospital, Nanjing Brain Hospital, Nanjing Chest Hospital, General Hospital of Eastern Theater Command, Hospital for Skin Diseases of the
Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences, and the First Affiliated Hospital of Soochow University.
The researcher center made use of reliable data collected by Chinese health community platform Haodf.com over a span of 15 years, such as over 64.49 billion view tracks, 74.09 million medical records, 680 million conversations between doctor and patient, and 52.69 million comments by patients. The latest annual ranking, also the sixth edition, included 30 specific medical fields.
Chen Qiulin, deputy director of the research center, said from 2017 to 2021, the number of patients who received services through the online platform nearly tripled and the number of doctor-patient exchanges also increased more than four times. The data shows the booming development of Internet-based health services quickly reshaping the traditional medical system.
