Jiangsu delegation of the third session of the 13th National People's Congress (NPC) deliberated the work reports of the Supreme People's Court and the Supreme People's Procuratorate on May 27.

In the meeting, NPC deputy Lou Qinjian, also secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Committee and director of the standing committee of Jiangsu People’s Congress, said it’s important to adhere to Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, systematically and comprehensively enhance the rule of law in Jiangsu, and provide legal guarantee for high-quality development.

Lou also said, Jiangsu takes the national lead in trial and prosecution works, makes contribution to the province’s reform and development, and accumulates experiences that can be expanded through the country.

Jiangsu needs to strengthen the thinking from the rule of law, promote judicial reform in accordance with requirements of the new era, administer justice impartially, fully respond to people’s concerns, and increase the legal support to modernize the system and capability for governance.
