China’s 32 museums have worked together to launch the Alliance of Grand Canal Museums in Nanjing on the morning of November 14, signing an agreement for pursuing coordinated development and inheriting the Grand Canal culture.
The secretariat of the association will be based in the China Grand Canal Museum, temporarily under the management of the Nanjing Museum. The new organization will innovate ideas, share information, exchange resources, and improve coordination so as to break down the geographical barrier, promote the rational use of cultural relics, and create a number of core exhibition halls and attractions that fit well with the Grand Canal National Cultural Park project.
