Huai’an City has attached plaques to all 18 historical buildings recognized in the end of 2018 to improve conservation.

The last to receive the official honor was the former site of Wang’s Textile Shop, located at No. 128 Guyi Road in Hexia Ancient Town, according to local media.

Zhu Chunyang, director of the urban landscape division of the Huai’an Bureau of Natural Resources and Planning, said people in charge of protection of a historic building need to take immediate measures if the building is at the risk of damage. The designated guardian can apply for assistance of the city’s authorities to ensure the protection.
