After local contests in 13 cities, the 11th Jiangsu Tech Entrepreneurship Competition has advanced to the stage of competitions within specific industry fields, with new materials as first sector.
On August 10 and 11, a total of 560 teams and enterprises competed for 60 spots in this competition held at Changzhou National Hi-Tech District.
Serving as the provincial division of the 12th China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition, Jiangsu Tech Entrepreneurship Competition has attracted 7,690 teams and enterprises since its launch in May, making it one of the largest participating groups nationwide.
In addition to new materials, the competition also includes other industry fields such as high-end equipment manufacturing, next-generation IT and biomedicine. Each field will select 60 teams and enterprises for the finals, and the top performers will be recommended for the China Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition on behalf of the province.
To support innovation and entrepreneurship efforts, this edition prioritized increasing financial support for tech companies. This included inviting banks and venture capital firms to participate in the entire process. Such efforts aim to foster in-depth exchanges with enterprises and offer them targeted financial services.
Furthermore, based on extensive research, the program held its first entrepreneurship training camp. Entrepreneurship mentors and representatives of financial institutions visited the province’s 13 cities with subordinate districts, providing valuable suggestions and services to teams and enterprises entering the industry field competitions.
