Sheyang County in Yancheng City welcomed 90 visitors from Republic of Korea on November 11, the fourth day after China started extending the visa-free policy to ordinary passport holders from nine nations. Some of them enjoyed the lush greenery and golfing experience at Sheyang Island Golf Club.

Tourist Kang Hye-kyoung said she found the golf course and weather wonderful in her first visit to the county. With the visa-free policy, she hopes to visit and play golf three to four times a year.

Visitor Lee Ki-moon also praised the golf course environment, including the quality management and professional staff, and expressed interest in returning to play.

Covering an area of 1,100 mu, Sheyang Island Golf Club features the most challenging golf course on flat land in East China. The 18-hole, par-72 course measures 7,311 yards in length. It also includes a 20-bay driving range and a 5,000-square-meter multifunctional clubhouse, making it a premier recreational and sports venue.

Operations director Mao Jupeng said the club has made extensive preparations to welcome international guests, including inviting a local Korean chef to enhance dining options. Since April this year, the club has received over 800 foreign visitors and hosted nearly 3,000 games.
