As the summer travel season approaches, Nanjing Lukou International Airport is set to launch new flights to Melbourne on June 28 and to Kuala Lumpur on June 30, operated respectively by China Eastern Airlines and Firefly Airlines Malaysia.

During this summer, airlines are planning to increase their flights to Osaka and Bangkok, and introduce a new route to Yangyang in South Korea. Routes to Jakarta and Ho Chi Minh City are also expected to open in this year. Meanwhile, the Eastern Airports Group, headquartered in Nanjing, is actively engaging with airlines to initiate a passenger service to Dubai as soon as possible.

As of the end of May this year, the airport served 22 international and regional routes, including those to Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. Currently, the airport has restored and newly opened routes to various cities including Milan, Sydney, Osaka, Bangkok, Phuket, and Nha Trang.
