Immigration departments across Jiangsu Province inspected 1.9967 million border entries and exits in 2023, an 11-fold increase year-on-year.

Jiangsu residents made about 6.5 million border entries and exits through various checkpoints nationwide, a year-on-year increase of 4.82 times, marking one of the highest growth rates in the country.

Data also showed that 71.98% of air passengers entering and leaving the province traveled through the Nanjing Lukou International Airport. Nanjing’s immigration department inspected a total of 11,700 flights and about 1.54 million passengers in 2023, a year-on-year increase of 4.36 times and 8.08 times, respectively.

In addition, immigration departments in Jiangsu inspected a total of 44,600 flights and vessels, up 64.54% year-on-year.
