Several U.S.-funded enterprises have expressed their confidence in their continued development in Jiangsu Province at a roundtable meeting held in Nanjing on March 26.

Foreign-funded enterprises are vital players and contributors to Jiangsu’s reform and opening-up. Of the Fortune Global 500 companies, 408 have invested in this coastal economic powerhouse. Currently, the province is home to 43,000 foreign-funded enterprises and has consistently ranked first in the country in terms of the actual use of foreign investment for many years.

For example, the biopharmaceutical sector, one of Jiangsu's competitive industries, is also a focal investment area for U.S.-funded enterprises. Liang Yan, Vice President of Stryker China, stated that the company exports 30% of its products, with the remainder serving the Chinese market. With plants in Changzhou and Suzhou, the company plans to introduce more products and solutions in areas such as orthopedics, medical devices, and neurointervention.

Wei Chunyan, Vice President of Danaher China, mentioned that the company will deepen connections with governments, hospitals, and universities to strengthen the policy, industry and talent chains. This year, it aims to open China's first customer experience center in Suzhou and coordinate efforts in localized innovation, manufacturing, and commercialization.

Si Yong, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Commerce Department, stated that the province will further facilitate personnel exchanges, enhance follow-up services, and guarantee production factors. Jiangsu will also improve regular government-business communication and accelerate the response to challenges faced by foreign-funded enterprises.
