Taizhou-Haiyang Power Transmission and Transformation Project, Jiangsu's first 500 KV power grid for winter peak this year, was put into operation on Oct. 12, adding another substation hub in the middle part of Jiangsu province.

Located in Jiangsu, one of the most advanced economic powerhouses in China, Taizhou has gerat electricity demand, an average annual increase of 7%, as it supports many pillar industries such as bio-medicine, high-end equipment manufacturing, new energy. To meet the demand, State Grid Jiangsu Electric Power Co., LTD. Started to construct this project.

Covering an area of 83.34 mu (5.56 hectares), the substation owns a capacity of 1,000 MVA, which can provide reliable electricity to approximately 4.38 million households throughout the year.
