Jiangsu leaders meet with Hong Kong and Macao CPPCC members

Xin Changxing, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, and Xu Kunlin, governor of the province, met with Hong Kong and Macao members and invited representatives attending the second session of the 13th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on the afternoon of January 22. Zhang Yizhen, chairwoman of the CPPCC Jiangsu Committee, also participated in the meeting. Xin and Xu expressed gratitude for the long-term support towards Jiangsu’s development. Xin said that 2023 was an extremely crucial year of great importance in the history of Jiangsu's development. Guided by the spirit of important speeches by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, the province lived up to expectations, forged ahead, stood untied and made coordinated efforts to spearhead development, achieving progress in various undertakings.

In 2014, Jiangsu will act on the principle of seeking progress while maintaining stability, promoting stability through progress, and establishing the new before abolishing the old. The Hong Kong and Macao members of the CPPCC Jiangsu Committee and invited individuals are esteemed representatives in various fields, serving as a bridge linking Jiangsu with the two special administrative regions and the world.
