The Standing Committee of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee convened a meeting on February 7 to promote the province’s robust development in the first quarter. Xin Changxing, Secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, addressed the meeting.

The meeting emphasized the importance of accelerating the development of a modern industrial system, deepening reform and opening up, advancing comprehensive rural revitalization, and strengthening cultural endeavors.

The meeting noted the consumer market highlights during the Spring Festival holiday, particularly in the cultural and tourism sectors. Jiangsu also vigorously advanced its major projects and recorded smooth operations of key enterprises, providing solid support for achieving Q1 goals. The meeting stressed the need to enhance the positive economic recovery momentum and ensure a good start in the first quarter and the successful conclusion of the 14th Five-Year Plan.

Jiangsu will closely align with national strategies, fully leverage its development strengths, and enhance the integration of scientific and technological innovation with industrial innovation to achieve global influence, according to the meeting.

Efforts will also be made to steadily increase agricultural production and farmers' incomes while ensuring rural stability.

The meeting also called for the vigorous development of the green and low-carbon industry and the establishment of a new type of energy system.
