The third session of the 14th Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress was successfully concluded during its third plenary meeting on January 22.

Xin Changxing, secretary of the CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee and chairman of the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, presided over the meeting and delivered a speech.

The meeting voted to pass resolutions on the work report of the provincial government and the draft plan on 2025 economic and social development. Resolutions were also passed for the draft budget 2025, as well as work reports from the Standing Committee of Jiangsu Provincial People's Congress, the provincial Higher People's Court and the People's Procuratorate.

Xin called for strenuous efforts to achieve the expected goals for the economic and social development for this year. He also stressed the importance of implementing the spirit of key speeches by Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, regarding the province’s development. 

Jiangsu will strive to ensure the successful completion of the 14th Five-Year Plan and lay a solid foundation for the high-quality development, said Xin.
