In the first half of the year, the cargo and mail throughput at Wuxi Shuofang Airport reached 78,200 tonnes, a 33% increase year-on-year.

Notably, the airport’s international cargo flights reached a historical record of 15 flights per week.

DHL’s cargo delivery from Wuxi to Leipzig, Germany saw a significant growth of 40.3% year-on-year. To meet the surging demand to Europe, DHL deployed the Boeing 777 freighter, one of the world's largest twin-engine freighters, and also optimized its flight frequencies.

The airport has implemented comprehensive measures to enhance service capabilities, particularly its smart logistic solutions. In April, the airport launched a direct all-cargo flight to Mexico City, becoming the first of its kind from Jiangsu to Latin America. As of June 30, this route had operated 37 flights, exporting more than 2,000 tonnes of e-commerce goods.

Additionally, the airport increased its cargo flights to Seoul, South Korea from four per week to daily.
