The 2024 Global Industrial Technology Innovation and Investment Promotion Conference opened in Nanjing on June 21, attracting more than 400 representatives from enterprises, universities, research institutes, foreign embassies and consulates in China.
The conference saw the signing of agreements with a total investment of 99.8 billion yuan. These included seven projects each valued at over 5 billion yuan, spanning sectors of new energy vehicles, the renovation of Nanjing Port and machinery manufacturing.
Nanjing also launched its industrial funds to support sectors like software and information service, new type of power system, aerospace and biomedicine.
Last year, Nanjing’s software and information service sector generated an annual revenue of more than 800 billion yuan, while the smart grid industry exceeded 320 billion yuan. Additionally, the revenue from the aerospace, biomedicine, new energy vehicles and new materials sectors maintained double-digit growth. From January to May this year, the progress of major projects in Nanjing reached the best level in recent years.
At the conclusion of the congress, Nanjing signed a strategic cooperation agreement with CATL to promote cooperation in photovoltaic products and energy storage.
