In the first five months of this year, private enterprises in Jiangsu Province achieved foreign trade exceeding 1 trillion yuan, which represented a year-on-year increase of 16.6% and accounted for 46% of the province's total import and export value, according to Nanjing Customs.
These enterprises saw their products - from daily necessities to large machinery and smart household appliances – grow increasingly popular during the period.
This robust growth followed a series of measures implemented by customs authorities, including streamlined customs clearance. Additionally, the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) and other support policy also boosted the trade.
