The 2024 Wuxi-Hong Kong Innovation Cooperation and Development Conference was held in Hong Kong on April 24.
Wuxi showcased its pro-innovation environment, introduced the new policy to attract talent from Hong Kong and Macao, and launched the INTERN Jiangsu program for students from Hong Kong universities.
Following the opening ceremony, a series of activities took place, including an innovation and cooperation symposium, an industry-university-research cooperation fair, a project roadshow and investment matchmaking, and a talent exchange seminar.
The talent exchange seminar saw the participation of 46 key tech enterprises based in Wuxi. The industry-university-research cooperation fair announced 14 projects from Hong Kong universities and science parks, covering Wuxi’s competitive industries and fields.
The venue also featured an exhibition of Wuxi’s intangible cultural heritage items.
Located in the Yangtze River Delta region, Wuxi boasted a GDP of 1.55 trillion yuan in 2023, a per capita GDP of 206,300 yuan, and six industrial clusters with an annual output value of over 200 billion yuan.
