Jiangsu Province has recently released an action plan to strengthen the infrastructure system offering services such as digital transformation, intelligent upgrades, and integrated innovation.

The province aims to increase the number of 5G base stations to 280,000 by the end of this year, thereby securing the second highest count nationwide. It plans to complete the 5G network upgrade across 50 hospitals and 500 kilometers of expressway. Additionally, the province intends to enhance 5G coverage at villagers, cultural venues, and sports grounds where download speeds are lower than 50Mbps.

Jiangsu is set to accelerate technical research and product development, pilot the application of naked-eye 3D display technology and industrial AI, and also explore other industrial application scenarios.

The province will also focus on constructing large computing centers in Nanjing, Yangzhou, Suzhou, Wuxi and Nantong, and support cities with solid AI industry foundations, such as Nanjing and Suzhou, in building intelligent computing centers.

Regarding 5G applications, Jiangsu plans to deepen the "5G + Industrial Internet" initiative and strengthen its application in sectors like education, tourism, healthcare and energy. Intelligent computing is expected to play a more active role in smart homes and other aspects of everyday life.
