Jiangsu’s lawmakers and political advisors have actively responded to a speech by Xin Changxing, secretary of CPC Jiangsu Provincial Committee, delivered at the second session of the 13th Jiangsu Provincial Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) on January 22.
Song Qinbo, chairman of China Jiangsu International Economic and Technical Cooperation Group (CJI), stated that the group will leverage its global layout and diversified business models to accelerate the development of its overseas supply chain. Over the years, CJI has fostered international cooperation in production capacity through its investment, construction and management of industrial parks.
Zhu Yidong, director of the Gusu District Ancient City Protection Committee of Suzhou City, emphasized the district’s commitment to the preservation of culture, upgrading of people’s livelihood and development.
Wuxi plans to strengthen grassroots governance and improve people’s livelihood through solid efforts, such as enhancing services for the elderly and children, preserving and innovating Chinese medicine, and improving the quality and efficiency of medical services, according to Xu Wen, deputy director of the Wuxi Municipal Health Commission.
Zhou Qiquan, deputy mayor of Gaoyou City, while addressing the province’s rich history and traditions, advocated for the deep integration of cultural, tourism, industrial and agricultural resources to boost coordinated growth.
Hua Yujun, president of Nanjing Maritime Court, suggested promoting dispute resolution in diverse ways and strengthening services at the grassroots level.
