Jiangsu leads in number of enterprises listed on Beijing Stock Exchange

In 2023, Jiangsu Province saw 16 enterprises newly listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE), increasing its total to 43. The figures both ranked first among province-level regions in China.

Almost all of these 16 companies are in the manufacturing sector. Typically, these companies’ stock market offering are at least 100 million yuan, indicating their core competitiveness recognized by the market.

On December 29, the last working day of 2023, BSE accepted application materials from five more Jiangsu companies. By December 31, Jiangsu had 22 enterprises awaiting for the listing approval, forming the second largest group among province-level regions.

"The companies on the waiting list share two common characteristics: specializing in niche markets, and representing key sectors and competitive industry chains," said professor Wu Bin from the School of Economics and Management at Southeast University.
