Jiangsu Province has recently released an implementation plan for the development of agriculture, with the aim of mechanization, energy efficiency, and intelligent operation through the use of modern facilities and technologies.

To stabilize the production supply and meet diverse market needs, the province plans to upgrade facilities for machinery operations, expand standardized farms, advance the construction of plant nurseries, and bolster equipment upgrading and technological support.

Among the targets set, commercial greenhouses will produce 50% and 60% of the total vegetable output in Jiangsu by 2025 and 2030, respectively. The province will complete the facility upgrade for the main vegetable varieties, fruit trees and flowers by 2025.

Jiangsu will also achieve the mechanization rate of 70% by 2025 and 80% by 2030 in the protected agriculture, according to the plan.
