Jiangsu has four more industrial clusters recognized by the Ministry of Science and Technology, bringing the total number in the province to 19, which is second-highest among province-level regions in China.

The four clusters include biomedical products manufacturing in Nanjing High-tech Zone (Jiangbei New Area) and Suzhou Industrial Park, IC manufacturing in Wuxi High-tech Industrial Development Zone, and high-performance fiber products and composite materials in Suqian High-tech Zone.

In 2022, Jiangsu supported high-tech zones in implementing 47 major projects to boost innovation capacity. The province has also helped high-tech zones nurture innovation-driven industry clusters that consisted of 103 leading enterprises.
