Jiangsu has received a new recognition of its application of 5G in industries, as the province is ranked among the best in China in this endeavor.
On February 24, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology released a list of best practices in the country. It included 39 typical cases in 15 key sectors for industry exchange and expansion. In the "5G+Industrial Internet" category, three cases from the coastal province were honored, including one provided by CNNC SUFA Technology Industry.

According to the Jiangsu Provincial Communications Administration, as of the end of 2022, telecom operators had signed agreements for 5,592 5G application projects, of which 1,906 or 34.1% were "5G+industrial Internet" projects. The province added 3,207 new projects last year, of which 1,243 were "5G+industrial Internet" projects.
Data showed that "5G+industrial Internet" projects accounted for a large proportion of 5G applications in Jiangsu and also experienced fast growth amid the increasing coverage of 5G network.
Jiangsu took the lead in the country to realize 5G network access in towns and key administrative villages. By the end of last year, the province had opened 187,000 5G base stations, the second largest among provincial-level regions.
