Jiangsu's industrial economy maintained stable growth in January, continuing the development trend since the fourth quarter of last year, with the industrial output back to 90% of the capacity by early February, according to the province's Department of Industry and Information Technology.
To establish a strong industrial chain, Jiangsu has introduced a three-year action plan to enhance the competitiveness of its advanced manufacturing clusters. The province also made it a priority to continuously improve industrial innovation.
Jiangsu held a work conference to promote the intelligent and digital transformation of the manufacturing sector on February 9. The meeting noted the objective of completing such transformation at more than 10,000 industrial enterprises above the designated size.
Zhu Qian, chief of the Technology Innovation Division of the provincial department, said Jiangsu will implement major projects primarily in the fields of new power and intelligent equipment, software and information services to build advanced manufacturing clusters.
