Nanjing Customs and Jiangsu Sub-council of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT Jiangsu) issued 12,900 certificates of origin for goods worth a total of 3.94 billion yuan under the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) free trade agreement in January.
On February 13, Lamipak, a leading manufacturer and technical service provider of aseptic packaging, applied for the trade document from Kunshan Customs House for a batch of composite materials to be exported to Indonesia.
The company's customs specialist, Zhang Yi, said this RCEP certificate of origin is a first for Lamipak as the agreement entered into force for Indonesia this year, and it will play a positive role in enhancing customer cooperation.
Trading companies now enjoy better services, e.g., the application approval process has become more intelligent and the document can be printed on their own.
