The export of used electric cars rose rapidly since the second half of 2021, especially in coastal areas.

A cargo vessel in Shanghai started delivery of 109 used electric cars, exported by SUMEC, on February 10.

Jinling Customs has handled the export of 1,169 used electric cars worth 200 million yuan since Nanjing became a pilot city of the export program more than one year ago.

With rapid development of the domestic new energy vehicles industry, the used cars are also popular in overseas markets due to the various models and affordability, according to Qian Youwen, general manager of SUMEC's international trade department.
