All industrial enterprises above designated size have resumed operation in Suzhou after the latest COVID-19 resurgence, according to the city’s Department of Industry and Information Technology.
From January to February this year, the total output value by these larger enterprises reached 633.06 billion yuan, an increase of 10.5% year on year, including 184.4 billion yuan from the electronic information sector, up 13.2%.
Over the past few days, Suzhou has increased efforts to coordinate the pandemic response with the economic and social development. Local authorities have urged enterprises to implement preventive and control measures while actively helping address practical difficulties in the production.
Jin Xiaohu, deputy director of the department, said the city has introduced a slew of measures to assist enterprises and ensure the stability of the supply chain. To advance the strategy of building an industrial innovation cluster, the city has rolled out 120 policies on three fronts.
