Kunshan, a county-level city under the jurisdiction of Suzhou, announced the landing of 98 projects with a total investment of 98.06 billion yuan during its emerging industries development conference on November 9.
These projects covered advanced computing, artificial intelligence, intelligent manufacturing, aerospace, biomedicine, new materials and other fields.
The county has ranked first for many years in a row as the strongest county economically in China. To support promising enterprises in leading industries and emerging industries, Kunshan has also launched a fund of funds (FOF) with a target size of 10 billion yuan.
Kunshan also established an agency to promote cooperation in development of emerging industries, and invited nine research institutions, including Urban Innovation Think-tank (UIT), to provide suggestions and ideas for better decision-making.
