China Council for the Promotion of International Trade Jiangsu Sub-Council (CCPIT Jiangsu) convened a meeting with foreign institutions and multinational companies in Xiangcheng District of Suzhou City on October 25.
The meeting aimed to boost efforts in Jiangsu to achieve the carbon peak and neutrality targets, align better with the new economic development pattern of "dual circulation," promote the low-carbon growth of manufacturing industry, and facilitate cooperation among Chinese and foreign companies.
Participants in the meeting included governmental officials and representatives of companies from the EU, the United States, Japan and South Korea.
Yin Jianqing, President of CCPIT Jiangsu, said the province’s blueprint for the manufacturing industry during the 14th Five-Year Plan period has created a broader prospect for cooperation and great opportunities in many fields, such as industrial upgrading, carbon emissions trading, technological innovation, green finance and talent exchange.
Ji Jing, secretary of the CPC Xiangcheng District Committee, said the district now enjoys robust growth momentum as it hosts the demonstration zone for China-Japan regional development cooperation, increases international partnership in the energy internet field, and creates a good business environment.
CCPIT Jiangsu has turned the meeting, now in its eighth edition, an important high-level platform to facilitate international cooperation and exchange.
