As a burgeoning sea transportation base and a warehousing logistics center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, the SCO Logistics Park in Lianyungang handled over 23.7 million tons of cargo in 2020, up 3.82% year on year.
A development priority in both Jiangsu and the coastal city, the park has become an important transportation hub to serve the Belt and Road Initiative. Thanks to the improved railway connection and innovative regulatory services, the park has attracted the landing of many high-quality projects.
In last year, the park had 20 newly registered companies and the main revenue reached 1.358 billion yuan, an increase of 447.65% year-on-year.
The park has now established business cooperation networks with Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Pakistan, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The China-Kazakhstan Business Council Jiangsu Liaison Office has also opened in the park amid its progress in developing the international land-sea transport corridor and the SCO sea transportation base.
