The Nanjing area of the Jiangsu Pilot Free Trade Zone held a press conference on June 17 to announce a milestone in the business administration reform.

Jiangsu Nepstar Chain Drugstore became the first in the province to be granted the all-in-one business license for retail drugstore sector.

The new move integrates previously separate business certifications and licenses into one consolidated business license for one sector. Meanwhile, application for the license also follows a standard procedure and involves submitting materials in just one government service counter, a great progress to improve efficiency, reduce institutional costs for market entities and stimulate market vitality.

In the past, it took 161 days for statutory approval and 81 days for the government review to finally give the green light to open a drugstore in the city’s Jiangbei New Area, which produced a pile of seven licenses. Now, the whole procedure can be completed within just five days and issues just one license.

The streamlined service will also be available to convenience stores, gyms, hotels, restaurants, bakeries, coffee shops, teahouses, bars and other business venues.  More market players are expected to enjoy this reform.
