Nanjing stimulates SMEs growth with service month

The Nanjing Business Service Month, launched on June 2, will host nearly 30 acitivites that aim to inject fresh momentum into SMEs.

The UN General Assembly declared June 27 the Micro-, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises Day to raise public awareness of their contribution to sustainable development. According to the Nanjing Enterprise Service Center, Nanjing has marked the day with various events for two years.

This year, the center will join hands with Jiangsu Province SME Development Center and Nanjing SME Association to organize a series of activities to cover topics of policy interpretation, financing, taxiation, marketing and management, through lectures, meeting with experts and forums.

Companies can register for the events through the center’s WeChat (account ID: njssmesc).

In recent years, a number of high-growth, innovative SMEs have played important roles in Nanjing's stable industrial economy growth. Data showed the city had 16,300 small and medium industrial enterprises in 2019, among which 2,426 were among above the designated size, an increase of 218. Those enterprises achieved a total revenue of 493.77 billion yuan, up 1.8 percent year-on-year.
