The Nanjing People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries hosted the "Understanding Jiangsu's New Mission in a New Era" Activities for Foreign Friends on March 12.
The program aimed to help foreigners in Nanjing understand the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress through visits to communities, enterprises, eco-friendly pilot projects, and by attending seminars.
Professor Jin Quanyuan, dean of the School of International Education at Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, gave an introduction to the 20th CPC National Congress.
Expats in the program visited local high-tech enterprises and the Usnisa Palace complex on Niushou Mountain. They also planted trees at the Niushou Mountain International Friendship Forest and visited farmers in Zhoucun community in Guli subdistrict to gain an understanding of rural development.
More than 40 foreigners from 12 countries, including the United Kingdom, South Korea, Nepal, and South Africa, were also given the English version of the fourth volume of Xi Jinping: The Governance of China.
