A biodiversity program, including exhibition and lectures, opened at Jinling Library in Nanjing City on March 11.

The 5-part exhibition features different kinds of life in Shanghai and Nanjing, the Yangtze Finless Porpoise, Asian Elephants in southwest China, snow leopards in Sanjiangyuan, a major natural reserve in northwestern China, and protection efforts in these areas.

Visitors can experience forest patrolling via VR helmets. The exhibition hall also has a reading corner to showcase books related to species conservation and biodiversity.

Meanwhile, experts from Nanjing Hongshan Forest Zoo, Nanjing Yangtze Finless Porpoise Conservation Association, and the School of Life Sciences at Nanjing University are invited to host weekend lectures on topics such as urban park conservation and bird protection.

The program will continue until March 22, and there will be a free screening of movies to mark the earth and nature on March 25.
