A China-Europe freight train carrying household appliances produced by LG in Nanjing departed the city’s Raohuamen yard for Almaty, Kazakhstan on January 12 after the inspection of Nanjing Customs.
The freight train with 100 containers, the first charted by an enterprise to send exports from Nanjing in 2023, will arrive Almaty in about 15 days.
Jiangsu has played an important role in promoting high-quality development of the Belt and Road Initiative. The freight train service has contributed to export of consumer products, improved people’s livelihoods in countries like Kazakhstan, and assisted the province’s companies to tap into international markets.
