A freight train with 50 carriages, loaded with auto parts, daily necessities and other goods, left the China-Kazakhstan logistics base in the coastal city of Lianyungang on July 30, bound for Turkey.

This rail service makes full use of the New Eurasian Land Bridge, an international passageway linking the Pacific and the Atlantic, and the Trans-Caspian transport route, a multimodal route connecting China, Kazakhstan and Turkey with Europe as its final destination.

The logistics base sent the first freight train along this route in October 2019. Because of the advantages, such as less time for loading and unloading, companies from Japan and South Korea as well as domestic exporters become more interested in this service.

To ensure the efficiency, Lianyungang China- Kazakhstan International Logistics company took a series of measures to facilitate the shipment, such as assistance in the customs declaration and coordination with China Railway Corporation.
