Huang Guangjie, deputy director of the Xuzhou Agriculture and Rural Affairs Bureau, said that the city is doing its best to improve the crops management and ensure stable prices and good quality of farming supplies.
According to the province’s Department of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the area for growing summer crops will reach 36.95 million mu in Jiangsu, an increase of 30,000 mu over the previous year.
Among the spring farming preparedness, many regions gave priority to mechanized farming, an important indicator of moving towards agricultural modernization.
On the morning of February 18 in Fanshui Town of Baoying County, two farmers dumped a bag of urea into a drone, which later sprayed the organic compound back and forth along a pre-determined route.
Zheng Xiaogang, a researcher from the province’s agricultural mechanization service station, said Jiangsu will offer training to cultivate farmers who can understand technology, operation and management.
