Jiangsu sent 3,425 medical workers to support nucleic acid testing in Yangzhou, designated 233 professionals to carry out epidemiological investigation, and also provided 10 mobile testing stations. Cities around Yangzhou prepared 26,000 rooms and received 17,900 people placed under quarantine.

Nanjing was supported by 9,184 medics for nucleic acid testing as well as 25 experts and 171 professionals for the task of epidemiological investigation. About 5,000 rooms in cities around Nanjing were designated for the use of airport staff members.

Zhang Jinhong, deputy director of the provincial health commission, said Jiangsu has established 67 medical teams with 4,786 people to support the treatment of patients.

Thanks to the concerted effort on many fronts including public health and police, the province has been able to maintain a high efficiency immediately after identifying a positive COVID-19 case, such as finishing the contact tracing of those in key groups in one hour and epidemiological investigation in four hours.

At the press conference, Dong Shuguang, deputy director of the provincial food and strategic reserves administration, said Jiangsu has sufficient medical supplies and a stable market for daily necessities.
