Police in Taizhou City has kept innovating services for foreigners working in China Medical City (CMC), which hosts around 1,000 pharmaceutical and life science companies and employs over 4,000 talents from home and abroad.
Local police became the first in Jiangsu to open a 24-hour self-service center, allowing residents to apply for travel permits to and from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan and process other matters related to residence permit or ID as quickly as in five minutes. People can also use the self-service machines to get the approved documents within in 30 seconds.
Local police also opened four community service stations to better address a wide range of exit-entry issues, such as foreign-related legal consultation and visa service, accessible to over 80 percent of companies and colleges in the high-tech zone. More than 300 people have benefited from the professional services.
