Huai'an Lianshui Airport announced that it will implement new summer-autumn flight schedules starting May 3 while promoting gradual recovery and frequency increase of important routes.

The airport plans to introduce China Southern Airlines, Capital Airlines, Shenzhen Airlines, Jiangxi Air, and SF Airlines, extending the total number of airlines operating at the airport to 16. After the flight schedule switch, the number of destination cities available will be increased to 27 with 164 flights arranged per week, 61 percent of the total flights before the COVID-19 outbreak. In addition, flights to Chengdu, Shenzhen, Xiamen and five other cities will be scheduled at prime times.

Flights to Guangzhou and Shenzhen will be fully restored and enhanced, from 7 flights to 10 per week and from 7 to 11, respectively. It also plans to add a Huai'an-Foshan route with four flights per week. There will be a maximum of five daily flights from Huai'an to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, which will greatly facilitate exchanges between the two places and speed up production resumption.
