As of March 9, flights have been resumed between Nanjing and cities such as Guangzhou, Shenzhen, Sanya, Guiyang and Changchun, with about 50 to 60 percent of the domestic flights by most Chinese airlines restored.

The resumption of work and production has led to increasing travel across the country. The Nanjing Lukou International Airport sees the departure of about 120 flights on daily basis.

China South Airlines resumed the flights according to risk levels of virus infection in different regions. All flights of the carrier in Jiangsu province are now back on track since March. So far the carrier has resumed the service of over 5,100 domestic flights, up to about 1,000 daily services in this month.

Juneyao Airlines is estimated to resume 4,600 flights in March, getting back half of its services in the same period last year by the end of the month.

The Civil Aviation Administration of China has rolled out a series of measures to support airlines hit hard by the novel coronavirus outbreak.
