During the Mid-Autumn and National Day holiday, Jiangsu recorded 71.18 million domestic trips and tourism revenue of 90.759 billion yuan, representing an increase of 104.7% and 151.9%, respectively.
Among the A-level scenic spots, the top three tourist destinations were the Confucian Temple - Qinhuai River scenic area in Nanjing, the Zhongshan scenic area in Nanjing and the Pingjiang Historic District in Suzhou.
The three most visited museums were the Memorial Hall of the Victims in Nanjing Massacre by Japanese Invaders, the Nanjing Museum, and the China Grand Canal Museum in Yangzhou.
More than 3,000 commercial performances were hosted across the province. Notably, the Yangtze River International Music Festival in Zhenjiang City drew 60,000 fans, while the first Youth Cultural and Art Week and Taihu Bay Music Festival in Changzhou welcomed about 100,000 participants.
From September 29 to October 5, total transactions in Jiangsu’s culture and tourism sectors via the China UnionPay network reached 17.555 billion yuan, accounting for 10.62% of the national total and maintaining first place among province-level regions in the country.
