The 2024 Yangtze River Delta Cross-border E-commerce Trade Fair opened in Wuxi City on June 25, attracting over 20 platforms including Amazon, TikTok, eBay, Google and SHEIN, along with more than 400 factories and 20,000 global buyers.

The trade fair showcased market-leading products and specialties from the delta region. Since 2022, Wuxi has hosted the trade fair for three consecutive years. During the period, the delta’s cross-border e-commerce industry chain and ecosystem have continued to improve and flourish.

Over the past five years, China's cross-border e-commerce trade has expanded more than tenfold. Notably, as a powerhouse of foreign trade in the country, the delta region has maximized its advantages and facilitated the growth of cross-border e-commerce.

In 2023, Wuxi’s cross-border e-commerce totaled $10.45 billion, accounting for 10% the city's total foreign trade. In the first five months of this year, the city’s cross-border e-commerce reached $4.74 billion.

Among recent developments, the Sunan Shuofang International Airport, located in Wuxi, has opened a direct cargo flight to Latin America, the first of its kind in Jiangsu. The airport also operates all-cargo flights to Incheon and Leipzig.
