The 2024 Zijin Culture and Art Festival will be held in Jiangsu Province from September to October, highlighting the celebration of the 75th anniversary of the founding of the People's Republic of China.

In addition to the main venue in Nanjing, theaters in Changzhou, Taizhou, Yangzhou and Huai'an will serve as sub-venues.

From September 13 to 28, a total of 20 newly created performances, ranging from Yang and Yue operas to puppet shows, will be staged at these sub-venues. Then, in October, the festival will feature 21 outstanding performances, including Kunqu Opera, dance dram and the French musical "Notre Dame de Paris".

The festival also includes a series of exhibitions focusing on calligraphy and sculpture.

In the two months, Jiangsu will hold a variety of cultural activities in towns, villages, and communities, including performances and art lectures. Additionally, the festival will continue activities at small theaters and support university student drama festivals.

Furthermore, the National Excellent Youth Folk Art Exhibition will take place in Jiangsu in November, showcasing over 200 works of young artists.
