The Regulation on the Promotion of Inheritance, Innovation and Development of Traditional Chinese Medicine in Nanjing City will come into force on November 16, according to a press conference held by the Standing Committee of the Nanjing People's Congress on November 9.

According to the regulation, the city will strengthen the research of Jinling TCM, named after the city’s old name, introduce a protection list to safeguard the heritage, and promote the iconic Jinling TCM prescriptions.

In addition, Nanjing will improve TCM-based public services, support the talent training and education, and enhance the competitiveness of the local TCM industry, according to the regulation.
