The International Horticultural Exposition 2021 in Yangzhou City finished on the afternoon of October 8 with a closing ceremony held in Beijing and Yangzhou via video link due to COVID-19.
Themed "Green City, Healthy Life," the expo opened to the public in Zaolinwan Tourist Resort in Yizheng, Yangzhou City on April 8. Covering an area of about 230 hectares, the expo had 64 exhibition gardens displayed in the pavilions which include 13 gardens from cities in Jiangsu, 26 gardens from enterprises and cities in other parts of China, and 25 exhibition gardens from foreign countries and international organizations.
Following the end of the expo, Yangzhou will make efforts to integrate tourism resources in Zaolinwan and turn the site into a vibrant complex of resorts, hotels, cultural and performance venues. The city aims to make it a role model of development.
